Governor Anne Waiguru has started by making blunders during her first day of presentation in defense of accusations leveled against her.
The Senate Select Committee chaired by Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has issued an ultimatum to the embattled Waiguru after he had discovered several mistakes in her submission.
In his ruling during the Senate hearing on Tuesday, June 23, Malala ordered the governor to resubmit her evidence after the initial batch was considered unintelligible.
The ruling came after the lead counsel of the embattled county boss raised three issues including a claim that the documents submitted by the Kirinyaga County Assembly were hard to follow.
“The Committee hereby directs that the governor provides clear copies of the said documents by the end of Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Serve the assembly’s lawyers via email and copied to the clerk of the senate,” stated Malala.
