Shock of 2020 as Waititu begs Moi’s son for a secretary job.

“I was elected the chairperson of Kanu in Embakasi when the party was very strong. During those days, being the chairman of a political party, one had to be voted for.

Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has asked Baringo Senator Gideon Moi for a job.

Though he had a rough time speaking at an event in which thousands of Mt. Kenya delegades had paid a visit to the late Moi’s family at Kabarak Nakuru County on Friday March 13th, Waititu finally had his way which he utilized to beg for a job from in KANU party.

The embattled ex-governor claimed before Mr. Moi that he was still the bonafide chairperson of KANU Embakasi branch despite having used a rival Jubilee party to ascend to power in Kiambu in the last general elections.

“I was elected the chairperson of Kanu in Embakasi when the party was very strong. During those days, being the chairman of a political party, one had to be voted for.

“In Embakasi, we held an election, and I was voted the chairperson. Until today, I am still the party’s leader in Embakasi. There has never been any subsequent election to remove me from office,” Waititu stated.

He also reminded Moi how he was elected the same time President Uhuru Kenyatta was also elected as the KANU national chairperson in 2005.

“I want people to know that I am attending this event today because I am a KANU member. I have not lost my way as some people would think. When some journeys end, I choose not to lament, but take a U-turn and continue with my trip.

“Mr chairman (referring to Gideon Moi), I want to assure you of my support, knowing too well the party is safe in your hands,” he stated.

On his part, Senator Moi thanked all Mt. Kenya delegation saying they will be engaging even more in the coming days and that for now everybody from Central should be focusing energy on supporting Mr. Kenyatta to accomplish his legacy.
